MERIT are conducting an evaluation of the current picture of service user and carer involvement experience in Greater Manchester. 

The focus of this work will be looking at what it’s like to be involved in influencing services, what is working for people and what could be better. The impact people are having on the groups they are involved in and on Mental Health services generally.

The findings will help to shape the later stages of the North West Mentoring Scheme and add to the knowledge around service user involvement generally.

The early findings are providing some valuable information which we will make available by the end of August 2008
